What is my Pupillary Distance (PD)?

SINGLE PD is the pupillary distance between the middle of one pupil to the other, which can be a distance PD or near PD. Distance PD can be used to order any prescription glasses except reading glasses. 

DUAL PD, or monocular PD, consists of two digits and is the distance between each pupil's centers to the nose's bridge. Dual PD is usually written in the following notation: 33/31. The first number is always the right eye (OD) measurement, and the second number is the left eye (OS).

You can calculate Near PD for reading glasses by subtracting 3mm from your distance PD. For example, if your distance PD is 62mm, then your near PD is 59mm.

Using Dual PD to calculate near PD, subtract 1.5mm from each eye's measurement. For example, if your dual PD is 34/32mm, then your near PD would be 32.5/30.5mm.

How do I know to choose the correct frame size?

When finding a frame that will fit your face correctly, using a debit card can help measure eye width. The end of the card should be placed at the bridge of your nose and measure to the corner of the eye. If more instructions are needed, please read the blog post: Choosing the Right Frame!

What all do you offer when it comes to glasses?

Here at Steyelish Trendz, we off prescription frames for Men, Women, and Children, as well as toddler frames. We offer many prescription lenses like single vision, line-bifocal, and progressives. You can order standard lenses with or without antiglare, polarized, transition (photochromic), and tinted lenses. Also, we are currently offering Non-Rx Sunglasses for Men, Women, and Children, as well as computer glasses with w/blue Light features. You can choose from various colors or keep it simple and conservative.

How long does it take for the glasses to ship?

It can take 14-21 business days for the glasses to be shipped to the customer as the lenses have to pass quality inspection. The lens manufacturer does a quality inspection, and they once Steyelish Trendz receives the order, we also do a quality inspection.
Glasses can be shipped sooner than 14-21 business days, depending on when we get the orders from the lens supplier.

If you would like to purchase the frame only it can be shipped within 3-8 business days.

Can the prescription frames be worn as is? No prescription lenses.

Yes, but the demo lenses are not made to protect the eyes! It's just to showcase how the frame looks. In most cases, it's best to have the demo lenses taken out if they will be worn for fashion purposes. 

(Disclaimer: Demo lenses, when shipped, could have stress fractures or minor hairline scratches in the lenses, once again, these lenses are not protective lenses and are supposed to be replaced. Once an eye care provider uses a RX prescription to make new lenses, they take the demo lenses out.)
